Cultivated Stones: Chinese Scholars’ Rocks from the Kemin Hu Collection

Our collection of Chinese scholars’ rocks, or gongshi, has recently expanded due to a generous gift from long-time patron of the museum Kemin Hu. A selection of her gift featuring traditional landscape stones, modern stones, and animal-shaped stones is on view in the Exhibits Gallery now. A larger exhibit will open November 4, 2023.
