NOTICE: Boxwood and Perennial Collections Closed through Summer 2023

In early August 2022, USDA-ARS discovered Boxwood blight on a small number of plants in the National Boxwood Collection at the U.S. National Arboretum (USNA). Because the collection has been frequently monitored, the disease was caught very early, giving staff time to implement measures to prevent spread. The Boxwood Collection (and the Perennial Collections that are in the same location) will be closed to the public until Summer 2023 to prevent spread within the collection and to other boxwood on the property.
