FONA’s Flowering 5K

Where: US National Arboretum, starting and finishing at the Capitol Columns
When: Race starts at 8:30am, with packet pickup from 7 to 8 am

Enjoy spring at the National Arboretum during FONA’s Flowering 5K! Whether you run or walk the race, you’ll enjoy cherry blossoms, magnolias, and so much more as you pass garden collections brightly colored with early spring flowers.

This race is not only scenic but also safe and secure. All roads are closed to cars during the race, so you can safely enjoy this 451-acre urban green space. There will be music before and after the race to get you grooving and a professional race announcer to call out runners as they cross the finish line. Strollers and dogs are welcome, but dogs must stay on a six-foot non-retractable leash.

Pricing starts at $40 for the first 150 registrants, then increases for each subsequent group of 150 registrants. Kids under 13 can participate for free but still must register in advance. Participants who register before midnight on Tuesday, February 17, are guaranteed a t-shirt. After that, t-shirts are available while supplies last.

A 20% discount is available to all veterans, active duty, and reserve military members (email info@fona.org for the discount code).
