It is native to the mid-Atlantic region and is a lovely vine for lightly shaded woodland gardens. Although the flowers are small by comparison to many other clematis, they bloom for a longer period. The petals are suprisingly fleshy and thick. You can see vasevine in the Fern Valley Native Plant Collection and in a container near the Administration Building. |
