It is native to the Eastern U.S. and is a tough, drought resistant evergreen plant. Dramatic spikes of creamy white flowers may grow to as much as ten feet in height in early summer. Adam's needle often blooms again in the autumn. You can see this plant in the Friendship Garden and near the Administration Building. [Click on the picture to see a larger image of this plant]. |
