Answer to the Front Page "Picture of the Week" Question

This is a picture of a 'Toichi Ruby' tree peony, Paeonia suffruticosa 'Toichi Ruby'.
You can find this plant in the Asian Theme Garden in the National Herb Garden. Tree peony roots have long been used in Asian herbal medicine. Tree peonies are also in bloom right now in the Asian Collections and in the National Boxwood Collection.
