Naranjilla is grown in parts of Latin America for its fruit and is sometimes called the "Golden Fruit of the Andes". In temperate zones, it is sometimes grown for its bold tropical foliage-the leaves are densely fuzzy and bear sharp purple thorns along the main veins. You can see naranjilla near the Administration Building. |
