Immortalize your memories with photography amid the pure beauty of the U.S. National Arboretum. If you are having your wedding at the arboretum, take your photos in the charming park-like environment of the Dogwood Collection, complete with benches and a fountain, or against the classical refinement of the historic National Capitol Columns -- or both. Either way, you can be certain your photos will be captured in a setting both naturally enticing and uniquely Washingtonian.

Wedding photographs may be taken at the stately National Capitol Columns even if you have your ceremony elsewhere. The 22 Corinthian columns from the U.S. Capitol bore witness to presidential inaugurations from Andrew Jackson to Dwight D. Eisenhower. Situated adjacent to the National Herb Garden Meadow, in the heart of the arboretum, the columns now preside gracefully over the sweep of space, creating an elegant and unique setting with which to remember your day.

All wedding photography requires a permit and a fee. The application for a permit is available for download below. The arboretum's administrative technician will be happy to assist you in scheduling your photography.

Fees
A $30 non-refundable fee to apply for a permit is due prior to the photo session. Upon approval of the application the $30 fee is applied to the total photography cost. Payment is to be made in the form of a check or money order payable to the U.S. National Arboretum.

Requests for use should be made a minimum of two weeks in advance of the required date. Mail the completed permit application to the address above along with the $30 check or money order made out to the U.S. National Arboretum.
