Current Events and Programs


Many Arboretum programs require advance registration. Please refer to the program description for details. At this time, we have no online registration and payment service.

There are two types of registration:

  1. Phone: Some free programs require phone registration. The number is listed with that program; please call and leave the requested information. 
  2. Email registration: Please send an email to: with the following information:

Notes on Email registration:

  • Registrations will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis based on receipt of email.
  • Email confirmation or notification that a program is full or cancelled will be sent.
  • Payment will be collected at the program; cash or checks only.
  • No “Email registrations” will be taken over the phone.

Refund Policy: A full refund will be provided for cancellations received no later than 10 days prior to program date and for events canceled by the U. S. National Arboretum. Pursuant to the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996 (DCIA), the U.S. National Arboretum is required to obtain a Tax Identification Number or Social Security Number when writing a check, including refund checks. We do not reschedule missed programs.


Privacy Act Information: This information is provided pursuant to Public Law 93-579 (Privacy Act of 1974) for individuals completing Federal records and forms that solicit personal information. The authority is Title 5 of the U.S. Code, sections 1302, 3301, 3304, and 7201.

Purpose and Routine Uses: The information from this form is used solely to respond to you regarding the service you have requested. No other uses will be made of this information.

Effects of Non-Disclosure: Providing this information is voluntary, however, without it we may not be able to respond to you regarding the service you have requested.

Paperwork Reduction Act Statement: A Federal agency may not conduct or sponsor, and a person is not required to respond to a collection of information unless it displays a current valid OMB control number.

Public Burden Statement: Public reporting burden for this collection of information is estimated to vary from two to four minutes with an average to three minutes per response, including time for reviewing instructions, and completing and reviewing the collection of information.
